In today’s episode, I interview Nikki. Nikki is a Paediatric physiotherapist living in Adelaide. Nikki and her husband conceived their first daughter through the assistance of IVF due to her husband’s previous history of treatment for testicular cancer. During her first pregnancy, Nikki suffered from an irritable uterus and an incompetent cervix requiring her to take it very easy and take bed rest at various intervals in the pregnancy. To hear more about Nikki’s births tune into this weeks show.

Today’s episode of the show is brought to you by Birth Beat. Birth Beat was founder by the lovely Edwina Sharrock a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Edwina has created two online courses The Ultimate Prenatal Program and The Ultimate Baby & Child First Aid Course.
The Birth Beat Ultimate Prenatal Program is a comprehensive childbirth course that also offers additional content including prenatal yoga, meditation, breastfeeding as well as sleep and settle for newborns. Edwina is passionate about only ever providing evinced- based content, not opinions. The program is also obstetrician endorsed.
I think the best part about this course is that you can do it from the comfort of home, and re-watch as many times as you like, forever! No more outdated and boring hospital classes. The Baby & Child First Aid Course is equally as valuable. Edwina worked as an emergency nurse for many years and created this course with a paramedic, ensuring the information provided is current and practical. This is a great one for busy parents and even though we never want to think about that worst-case scenario, it could potentially save a life.
If you’re looking for a modern approach to childbirth education or first aid for little ones, Birth Beat really is a one-stop shop. Check them out online at www.birthbeat.com.au or find them on Facebook and Instagram.
